Desk Set is a 1957 film staring Spencer Tracy as Richard Sumner and Katherine Hepburn as Bunny Watson. The film, a romantic comedy, was based on a Broadway play by Robert Fryer and Lawrence Carr. It is often credited as the first major motion picture to mention the concept of “information science.”
