Talk:HOWTO:Apply for a library job

I really disagree that you should ask any questions about the hiring process. How long you will have to wait until they hear back from you is pretty rude and is really asking "when will I be informed that I am not going to be a candidate"

Additionally, Why is this position open is really confrontational. If it is a new position they will tell you. What they won't tell you is if there is a problem at the institution, so why ask?

I am thinking that this article might need to be split into different articles. IMO LIS can be split into public, school, academic, archives, and special/nontraditional. This article only applies to public and academic (and to a limited extent school). S.Jeffery 08:31, 3 April 2008 (PDT)
