I saw some examples of Twitter being used at the recent Texas Library Association conference, though there was some confusion over the "proper" hashtag to use...#tla2009? #TxLA2009? #TexLibAssoc2009? I got the impression this is something next year's planning committee should decide in advance, what the "official" twitter hashtag is going to be for the event, announced in advance, so that people don't have to follow ALL the user-created hashtags on the fly and can be sure they're getting the "authorized" feed.
