Technical services division

All the activities and processes which are concerned with acquiring, organizing, and preparing materials for use by library patrons.

The two main branches within technical services are acquisitions, which may include collection development, and cataloging. Subcategories include serials, bindery & repair, copy cataloging, original cataloging, gifts and exchanges.
