A serial title that splits into multiple titles.

For example, the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society of London was succeded by Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A, Containing papers of a mathematical and physical character and Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series B, Containing papers of a Biological character.
