(Redirected from Volumes)
- A book in a numbered set or series of books which has its own title page and, in most cases, independent pagination. In a multi-volume set, the indexes are usually in the last volume. Also refers to the printed or written matter contained in one binding.
- In periodicals, all the issues published during a specific calendar year are usually bound in a single annual volume. The volumes are numbered sequentially, beginning with number one for the first year in which the periodical was published. In periodical indexes, each volume usually covers one year of published output.
