Welcome screen

Usually the very first screen which a user encounters upon logging on to a computer system. The welcome screen usually gives the title of the database or software system, its scope and/or dates of coverage, the name of its host, producer, or distributor, and often instructions or a basic set of options for using the system. In some systems, it is necessary to return to the welcome screen in order to logoff.
