Started his professional career as a Trainee in Librarianship and Documentation (TLD) at Centre for Environment Education, Ahmedabad (1997-98); Worked as a Trainee at Indian Institute of Management, Indore (1998-99) and as Professional Asst. at Indian Institute of Management, Indore (1999-2001). In the mean while he worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Library & Information Science, Bundelkhand University for a few days. He has been working as a Lecturer in the Department of Library & Information Science, Sambalpur University since 2001.
