A list of the days in a year, usually arranged by month, and within each month by week, which sometimes indicates major national and religious holidays. Also refers to an almanac which lists important days for special purposes within a year, as in the case of a university calendar.
A chronological list of the documents included in a given collection (rolls, charters, state papers, etc.) with annotations to indicate the date and contents of each.
