The DIRKS (Design and Implementation of Recordkeeping Systems) methodology, developed by the NSW Records Office and adopted by National Archives Australia, provides an 8-step process designed to assist organisations to improve their management of records and information. It is based on and expands the best-practice approach outlined in ISO 15489.
