The Local Archives and Libraries at Overseas Research Centers (LALORC) was developed for the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) with the intention of making international collections more accessible to researchers in other countries via digital means. To this extent it collaborates with the Digital Library for International Research (DLIR). It is funded by a U.S. Department of Education Technological Innovation and Cooperation for Foreign Information Access (TICFIA) matching grant.
