Natural language

A human language whose rules have evolved from current usage, as opposed to an artificial language whose rules are prescribed prior to its construction and use, as in the case of a computer language. In database searching, a natural language search allows the user to type words as input in the same way that a person normally speaks them (usually called a "keyword" search).
